Beautifying a front entrance can completely transform a home. A tired old concrete walk is replaced with a generous 6 foot wide bluestone walk, and its small stoop is replaced with a much larger porch. The curved steps add a nice contrast in this very linear entrance. The bluestone connects visually with the slate of the roof, tying the whole composition together.

Turf is remove and invasive vines, ivy and weeds are removed. Soil is amended with lots of compost. A new bluestone stepper pathway connects the side gate to the front walkway. The shrub and tree plants are planted creating the skeleton of what will be a multi-layered tapestry of garden beauty.
